riding on the bus isn't a new thing for me.
yes, bus is a public transportation and inevitable for most of the people. especially busway it's a main public transportation in Jakarta, my city. so, i'm quite familiar with bus.
every buses has the same shape. it's big, has a wide window, two row seats, one driver, a lot of passengers. every bus has its own route. some buses takes the support route, some buses takes the major route. but almost every bus always stop at strategic places that easy for everyone to alight or take the bus.
but this one, is the best bus riding for me.
the bus is a regular bus, with regular driver (hm, but this one is the left-side wheel), with reasonable ticket price, with quite-strategic route.
but different view from behind the bus' window.

10.45 am.
Paris, France
Green 63 Bus.sitting next to an angel, ups i mean, the sister who i met in the TGV. we chose to sit two seat from the back on the right row, so we can see barely everything from the bus' window. the window's size is quite big but later i found out that it's too small anyway. haha!
before the bus is on the ride, we have to wait several minutes because the driver has to follow the schedule. but i'm too exciting anyway and feels like want to jump up to the driver's place and run the bus. but i think took some photos will be a good idea while waiting.
my mind goes wild while we're waiting. i was thinking that taking a bus instead of a metro is a brilliant idea. because we can see Paris at a glance. well, not all of it but the sister pick the best route that passed almost "important" sightseeing that i can see. also with the river side of Seine River which the bus will pass. so it's like my "Metro Plans" that i already arrange it for months, easily changed (thanks to the angel).
after taking some photos and do a little observation with the bus and its passengers, finally the bus driver start to ride the bus. the bus began to take its acceleration and driving to Paris' road.
whoa! am i ready for this?? i mean, i'm dreaming of this for a whole life time! now it's in front of of my eyes! fuh!
i've got only 30 minutes of the bus riding, the view outside will be passed within a seconds concerning the bus' speed, and one time chance to portray it.
let's do it!
i always remember the sentence "Tour de Paris". and somehow i make it come true with my own Tour de Paris.
with a regular bus.
yeah!
ok, for the first 10 minutes, there's no sightseeing yet. just the street of Paris, with its Medieval building architecture. cars, Parisian pedestrians, intersection, stores. wonderful.
and during the ride, without an instruction, the sister began to explain every buildings, monuments, places that we passed by and visible through our window. on the left side, on the right side. and i guess, i looked like a 7 years old tourist; busy of the right and the left view by saying, "whoaaaa...."
from the bus' rear window,
a piece of Saint Sulpice Church
forget whether on the right side or the left side of the window,
hm, don't know what is this...?
and the bus begans to passed the Seine River side. okay, this is the "famous river". yes it's beautiful! it's wide, it's clean, and a lot of boat there.
on the right side of the window,
some kind of monuments in front of Grand Palais and Petit Palais
and my mouth began to open widely.
100 metre ahead, still on the right side of the window,
Grand Palais on the left and Petit Palais on the right.
and the sister began to comment my behaviour, "i can't believe it, you take photos of almost everything on the street!". and i just replied with laugh, "ahahaha of course! it's Paris!"
still on the same spot, the sister instructed me to look on the left side of the window,
Musee De L'Armee.
an Army Museum i guess?
one of the bridge on Seine River.
the sister comments again, "oh my God, it's true. you take photos of everything..."
and finally comes the time the sister have to alight. after she raises up to prepare her self, i grab her hand and said,
"thank you very much, sister. you're like an angel for me. you showed up from nowhere and helps me a lot."
she replied,
"ahaha it's ok dear. just don't get lost. and send my greeting to the tower, ok?"
and i spent the rest 6 stops by my self. almost astonished in silence while enjoying my fulfilled dream, even only from the bus' window.
35 minutes after the bus departed from Gare de Lyon, i stopped at Bosquett-Rapp, just like the sister instructed me before. when i stepped down on the road, i kept thinking "is this the right stop?", "what if i stop in the wrong place?", "what if i get lost?", "what if..."
and all my worries began to blur after the bus moving forward and clears out my view.
my view from the bus stop.
my view to fulfill this dream.
my whole-life dream.
and i did the 7-years-old-child-low-voice-and-high-tone-scream,
"aaaaaaaa....
Eiffel!"
to be continue...
