Slumdog becomes Millionaire
Monday, February 23, 2009on Monday, February 23th, 2009, the winners of Academy Awards has been announced. and i'm quite happy ebcause of my favourite movie took 8 trophies out of 10 nomination, Slumdog Millionaire. yiha! because i'm a fan of the British director, Danny Boyle as well, since he directed Trainspotting, 28 Days Later, and Sunshine. and i'm very like his taste of the cinematography and score in every his movies. it's so Boyle! and no wonder that this time, he can brought those trophies.
so from Slumdog Millionaire its self, they already collected 4 awards from 4 nominations of Golden Globe (Best Director, Best Motion Picture, Best Original Score, and Best Screenplay) and 8 awards from10 nomination of Academy Awards (Best Cinematography, Best Director, Best Editing, Best Original Score, Best Original Song, Best Sound, Best Writing, and Best Motion Picture).
usually, i already watched some of movies that got the nominations on the Academy Awards, especially in the Best Motion Picture Category. but for this year, i just watched 2 movies out of 5 (Slumdog Millionaire and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - click to check out my review). yeah, i just wait the 3 others to be release in my town, or in DVD.
so here's the full list of Academy Awards winners (taken from www.imdb.com)
