Part-time Job(s) Hunter

i think i have to tell about how is life has treats me lately...

now i'm working part-time as a computer laboratory assistant in my university. i don't know what force on the earth can make me took this kind of job - it's kind of sitting-behind-the-desk-in-one-closed-room-for-hours job...and for the first two week, i suffered a lot....an enthusiastic guy have to sit in the chair for hours?? oh no....but it has been my fourth weeks since i write this post, and i'm still alive, thanks God....

but i start to get some positive side (or i have to find some positive side to make keep me still breathing)...that i can do my bachelor thesis while i'm working...of course, because i work with 59 PCs...with internet connection also...i can do the checking emails routine as well....and the second reason is, yeah i earn some money...not that much, but it's enough...and it's quite worth it with sitting-behind-the-desk-in-one-closed-room-for-hours job...i mean, i used to earn some money with a job that requires a lot of energy with minimum time of resting...so this is my new kind of job...it's not that bad though...

still about job, i got a new kind of job...well, not so new kind, but it's quite prestigious job...

a Liaison Officer for The 5th World Islamic Economic Forum that will be held in Jakarta on March 1st - 4th, 2009....

an international event! that hosted by Republic of Indonesia! so it's an international event, hosted by national level... so unbelieavable! but it's happens on me....

how can i get such a information? well, thanks for Inayah Agustin for the text message and email forwarded about the recruitment...and thanks also for Facebook for the group and event application...

it's a walk-in interview...so, accompanied with my seeking-job friend, both of us attended to that interview...and almost lost our confidence because the rest applicants wears a formal/bussiness outfit...while, my friend wore a T-shirt, jeans, and sneakers...and me, more tidy than him; polo-shirt, jeans, and converse...haha!

anyway, both of us got the job, but in the different division...my friend got the Hospitality Desk while me got the Liaison Officer...

ah! about Liaison Officer, we have to accompany the international guest exactly when they step into Indonesia territory until they step out of Indonesia territory (the airport)...yes! i will get the privilege to enter the airport territory, exactly from the passengers come down from their aircraft...and we will get our own car, include the driver, to take our guest to the hotel and the conference venue...such a cool job!

despite of all that privileges, we have to be PROFESSIONAL...of course, it's an international guest and we (the LOs) are the ambassador of our country...so we have to act like a good citizen...because i think, we are the one who represent of our country for the guests who don't know much about Indonesia...for me, it's not my first experience since my 3 month representing Indonesia in Taize (don't know if i represented quite well that time ;p)...so i hope i will do the best for this job...

and, i have to wear a very formal outfit (= a bodyguard outfit); black formal suite include black tie and black formal shoes...thanks God not with black eyeglasses also or i will announce my self to be a mutanic-aliens slayer that has a secret headquarter in the middle of the town...

for the job and for my survival to accompany my guest, i have to do some background research of WIEF its self and my guest (for mine, an Arabic enterprenuer that come from Jeddah)...and those things that what i will do from now...

so, see you later on my next post...
